Profile of David A. Widerman, CPA

David A. Widerman graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Cum Laude, from Pennsylvania State University in May 1983.  (4.0 G.P.A. in Accounting).  He passed the CPA exam right before graduation, and upon graduation he entered the internship program with Arthur Anderson.  After completion of the internship contract for a year, he was promoted to senior for the Houston office.  David left Arthur Anderson to accept a position with Ernst & Young in their Houston office.  He focused on the taxation matters of large real estate developers for five years.  He then moved to Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation as a Manager of Taxation, splitting his time between Oakland, Los Angeles and Houston for the following ten years.
In 2000 he left Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation to start his own CPA firm, US Tax Assistors, in Orange County, California.  His clients are diversified representing various industries and include manufacturing, medical services, real estate (development and sales), professional services, contractors and construction companies. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in non-profit organizations.  He relocated his office from Tustin to Newport Beach in 2011, to provide a more central Orange County location for his expanding client base.  At the time of the relocation, he changed his company name to Widerman & Associates.
David is involved in community activities through memberships in the Penn State Alumni Association and the Newport Balboa Rotary Club as a Treasurer.
